Stretcher for shoes and boots

$34

Do you have shoes or boots that are a bit too tight or pinch in some specific area? This high quality stretcher is the solution. Sturdy construction with straight-through heavy-duty metal parts, allowing for stretching even of really thick leather. The clever joint makes these stretchers work equally well with low shoes and high boots. You can stretch out either the entire front in width or if you want them to be pushed out in a specific place using the included knobs that attach to the stretcher where you want the shoe to be stretched out.

We recommend that the area to be stretched is treated with a leather softener, developed to help the leather loosen up and avoid harm. We offer Tarrago Shoe Expander in 125 ml.

You get one stretcher, if both shoes need to be stretched it's done one after the other (or if you buy two at once). Instructions for use follow below.

Available in four sizes:
Small - For smaller shoes and boots, mainly women's, approximately sizes EU36-39 (UK3-5)
Medium - For larger women's shoes or smaller men's shoes and boots, approximately sizes EU40-42 (UK6-8)
Large - For men's shoes, approximately sizes EU43-45 (UK9-11)
X-large - For larger men's shoes, approximately size EU46 and up (UK12+)

Here you'll find a detailed guide on how to stretch out your shoes or boots with this type of stretcher. A different stretcher is used in the guide, but you can follow it also with this one.

Note, for best results we recommend visiting a sobbler for a professional stretching of your shoes. However, with this product for stretching out shoes and boots, you can do a lot yourself.

Instructions for expanding / stretching shoes with our stretcher:

  1. Before inserting the stretcher, moisten the shoe with a leather softener on the outside and inside where you intend to stretch out the shoe. We recommend Saphir Eze or Tarrago Sneakers Expander which is specifically designed for this purpose.
  2. If you want to expand one or more specific points, use the provided knobs and place them on the stretcher where you wish to expand the shoe. If the knobs don't fit exactly where you want to extend, adjust the entire stretcher in the shoe so that the knobs are positioned correctly. If you only want to extend the width of the shoe, don't use the knobs, just the stretcher itself.
  3. When the stretcher is placed in the shoe, hold it in place and at the same time screw on the handle to stretch in width. Do not turn more than four turns at a time from the time it starts to have resistance, otherwise the pressure may be too great and you can damage the leather. To minimise the risk of small cracks in the leather, you may treat it with Saphir Medaille d'Or Leather Lotion.
  4. Let the stretcher sit for eight hours, then remove it and try on the shoes. If the shoe needs more stretching, repeat the process.

Note, we take no responsibility for any damage to the shoes as a result of stretching, as it depends on several factors regarding the quality, condition and more of the shoes that we cannot influence.

Here you'll find a detailed guide on how to stretch out your shoes or boots with this type of stretcher. A different stretcher is used in the guide, but you can follow it also with this one.
