Leather Soap from Saphir / Avel, used to clean away dirt and residues of shoe cream and wax or other leather care products. The soap is more gentle than Saphir Renomat but more efficient than Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur Crème. An excellent product to gently yet thoroughly make leather products clean and neat again.

Contains 100 ml. Make sure to always test the product on a hidden area first.

When ordering engraved products, there is an additional delivery time of 5-8 working days. In the case of a special order (customized shoes where you choose the leather, sole, etc.) of shoes, so-called MTO (made to order) / GMTO (group made to order), the estimated delivery time is about 6-8 weeks.

Returns & exchanges

You may return or exchange whole or part of your order if you notify us within 14 days after you received your products. Return costs are covered by you and shipping of exchange products are covered by us.
Return and exchange rights do not apply to products with engraving, made to order products and group made to order products.

How to use
Saphir / Avel Leather Cleaning Soap is a gentle yet efficient cleanser. When washing suede, nubuck or textile you should use a small brush. Dab it into the product and wet it, then work up a good lather as you rub with the brush. Be extra thorough where the shoe/leather products is as most dirty.

For a quick cleaning you then wipe the shoe dry with a polishing cloth or a dishcloth. After a more thorough cleaning, you then rinse the whole shoe under running water, make sure the whole shoe gets soaked to avoid water marks. Stuff it with paper and lay them on the side to let dry. Once they are almost dry, it's advisable to insert shoe trees in wood to retain the shoes shape. Once completely dry you treat them again with Saphir Renovateur spray and/or Saphir Super Invulner.

For regular smooth leather or grain leather you do as described above for a deep wash, but it could be better to use the soft side of a sponge instead of the brush. Make sure you treat shoes with Saphir Creme Pommadier shoe cream and Saphir Pate de Luxe wax polish afterwards, or leather products with Saphir Medaille d'Or Leather Lotion.
