How to use
Start by gluing together any damage with the Atomlim. Do this in a well-ventilated area. Apply the glue thinl and press the surfaces together for at least 30 seconds. Immediately wipe off any unwanted glue, for example if it has been squeezed out and got on top of the surface you are gluing together. As always with superglue, be very careful not to get it in places you don't want the glue on, and keep away from your eyes. Feel free to wear thin protective gloves while working.

Then fill in any voids or damage that has occurred in the rubber galosching, with Quicksohl rubber paste. Carefully sand the surface to be filled, so that the patching compound can adhere properly, and make sure it is dry and clean. Apply the putty in a thin layer, maximum 3-4 mm thick, and shape into an even form. Leave to air dry for at least 24 hours. It will shrink slightly as it dries. If you need to fill in more, repeat the procedure with more layers of Quicksohl. When finished it can be cut and/or sanded to get completely smooth if needed.

Finally, spray the galoshes with Saphir Tenax. Note that the paint adheres very strongly. Cover your hands with gloves and wear unsensitive clothing, make sure you have, for example, newspaper as a base, and make sure to protect surfaces on the shoes which you don't want colour on with, for example, masking tape.

If you want to freshen up the suede, we recommend Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur spray, which is available in various colours. It also waterproofs.

Immediately wipe off any unwanted glue, for example if it has been squeezed out and gotten on top of the surface you are gluing together. As always with superglues, be very careful not to get it on unwanted areas, especially not your eyes. It's a good idea to wear thin protective gloves when working.

Here you'll find our other products for various shoe repairs, like repair patches in both textile and leather to fix holes and similar, leather and rubber repair pastes, shoe colouring products etc. Make sure to always test the product on a hidden area first. To learn when shoes can be repaired, read this guide.

How can you glue leather?

Leather is a special material, which is usually flexible and moving, which means that an adhesive for leather needs to have different properties than many other adhesives. Most fast-drying adhesives, or super glues as they are called, become rock hard when they dry, and if you glue leather with these, the glue usually breaks when the leather product is used. Atomlim yellow is different, it still has very high adhesion but stays flexible so it can follow the movement of the leather.

Saphir Tenax is a spray leather dye that works on most types of leather, except suede and nubuck, and also adheres well to rubber, synthetic leather and PVC. Is great to recolour or cover damage to the galoshes of curling boots. Read more about how to fix your curling boots in this guide.

Please note that the paint adheres very strongly. Cover your hands with gloves and wear unsensitive clothing, use for example newspapers as a base under your shoes, and make sure to protect areas of your shoes that you don't want to be stained with masking tape or similar.

Remember to test on a hidden area first to ensure that the result is what you are after. And note that it's not intended to change the colour, similar to pigmented shoe cream it recolours and cover marks. Adhesion is also affected by the condition of the surface, for example, dried out leather or rubber will not adhere as well.

Quicksohl is a type of putty specially developed for repairing shoes. It works on leather, rubber and even plastic. Use it, for example, to repair holes in soles, fix major nicks in leather, repair the rubber galosching on curling boots, and so on. The coloured versions contain leather granules, which give a slightly rough finish. The transparent one gives a completely smooth surface. The paste consists of a mixture of rubber, leather dust and glue, which fills in and hardens.

Carefully sand the surface to be filled, so that the repair paste can adhere properly, and make sure it is clean and dry. Apply the repair paste in a thin layer, maximum 3-4 mm thick, and shape into an even form. Leave to air dry for at least 24 hours. It will shrink a bit when dry. If you need to fill more, repeat the procedure with more layers of Quicksohl. The finished repair can be cut and/or sanded to make it perfectly smooth, and can also be over-dyed to match, for example, the leather or sole colour even better.

Note that one normally can't repair leather cracks in the area of the shoe that bends, the repair will come loose when one walk with the shoes.

Available in black, white, brown and transparent (becomes whitish when dry), choose colour above. One tube contains 90 g. Made in Germany.
