Ice and snow grips

Being able to walk outside in a relaxed way even when it's really slippery is a pleasant feeling, not only the elderly have a lot of use for ice and snow grips. Here you'll find a selection of high-quality ice and snow grips, which provide a superb grip on icy and slippery surfaces. These full-foot grips really make a difference on the winter walk.

We offer several different options of ice and snow grips. Regular standard brogues are easy to get on and off, and have simpler studs that provide superb grip on most occasions when there is snow and ice outside. These are made for regular everyday use during slippery conditions.

We also have cleats designed for use when running on slippery surfaces, as well as really heavy-duty cleats with proper five-point studs for those who want the absolute best grip. These are more professionally designed anti-slip products that are less easy to use for everyday use and have more specific purposes.

The grips have a flexible fit for all types of shoes and boots, and can easily be put on and taken off. Avoid using them on bare grounds, so as not to wear out the studs unnecessarily, and wash them under warm water to remove salt and dirt.

Which ice and snow grips are best?

It depends on the purpose for which they are to be used. If it's for leisurely walks on mixed surfaces, some ice, some snow and maybe some bare ground, a pair of standard ice grippers with fewer, simpler studs is best. They still provide by far better grip on ice than regular rubber soled shoes, without being overly heavy for that matter, making them unnecessarily clunky to walk in.

If you're going out for a run, you'll need a bit more advanced anti-slip protection with a heavier rubber pattern and a fit designed to work well on flexible running shoes. There are special ice and snow grips for running shoes that are designed for just this.

If you need maximum grip, for example if you are hiking in snow and ice and also getting around on black ice, then really strong grips can be recommended. We have a version, Extreme, with eleven sturdy five-point studs underneath. However, these are clumsy to walk in on more ordinary surfaces.

Can you run with ice and snow grips?

Absolutely. However, it's best to choose a model designed specifically for running, with a coarser rubber pattern, studs that are firmly attached and a flexible fit adapted for running shoes.

How do you clean ice and snow grips?

Walking protectors are best washed under running, very hot water, which dissolves salt and dirt well. If necessary, you can use some dishwashing detergent. Please wipe off any water at the metal studs before leaving them to dry.

Do not store grips near a heat source such as radiators or underfloor heating, since this will cause the rubber to dry out over time.
