Pack content
- Saphir Renomat (also called Saphir Leather Cleaner)
- Saphir Teinture Francaise dye
- Paint brush flat tip 12 mm
- Saphir Medaille d'Or Leather Lotion
- Shoe brush
Saphir Renomat (also available with a different label called Saphir Medaille d'Or Leather Cleaner, but it's the same product) is used to clean and remove dirt and old cream from your shoes or leather products. Very effective and easy to use, while still being gentle against the leather. Can for example be used to restore your shoes if you have used the wrong color of shoe cream, and want to start over again.
Saphir Renomat should not be used every time you clean your shoes or leather product, only once in a while to remove old cream and waxes to be able to give them a deep care again. Also works well to clean brushes from old shoe cream.
Contains 105 ml. Remember to test on a hidden area first to ensure that the result is what you are after.
How to use
Saphir Renomat dissolves dirt and old cream and wax polish, open up the leather's pores and lets it breath and accept new nourishing substances. Use it maybe every six months or so before giving them a proper shoe polishing, to build up colour and protection again.
Take Renomat on a cotton cloth and rub with pressure over the shoe, part by part. Areas with a lot of cream and wax, like the toe box, can need several rounds. You'll notice once the leather gets clean, it looks matte and mottled and you don't have the waxy feel if you move your finger tip over it.
Remonat evaporates quickly so the leather doesn't get wet, yet it's good to let the shoes rest for an hour or so so it's completely dry before you apply at least two thin layers of Saphir Medaille d'Or Crème Pommadier shoe cream, and preferably also Saphir Pate de Lux wax polish.

Saphir Medaille d'Or Lotion is a leather lotion which is very easy to use, and which goes into the leather nicely and nourish, mouisturises and protects. Do miracles on dry, cracked and brittle leather. Use it on all types of leather products like gloves, briefcases, belts, hand bags, wallets and so on, and can also be used on dried out leather shoes.
Suitable for most types of smooth full grain leathers and embossed grain leathers: vegetable tanned, vacchetta, chrome tanned, box calf, aniline dyed and so on. Contains mink oil and other natural ingredients which makes miracles for the life span of the leather, and prevents for example cracks.
Contains 125 ml. Make sure to always test the product on a hidden area first. For more info about using the product, read below, and see this guide.
How to use
Saphir Medaille d'Or Leather Lotion is viscos, a bit like soured milk, yet it's very ample. Take a small amount on a polishing cloth and work it into the leather, a thin layer is enough. Let id dry for 5-10 minutes and then brush it up with a brush with horsehair which removes residues and can also achieve a small shine, if sought after. If the leather is dry repeat the procedure.
Since the lotion is completely colourless and doesn't smudge it can be used on all types of leather products to moisturise, nourish and protect, and can really bring back and prolong life to hard worn leather. Use it for gloves, belts, briefcases, wallets, hand bags, leather seats in the car, leather sofas, watch straps, and so on, or to treat the leather lining of your shoes.
How often you should use Saphir's leather lotion depends on what the product is exposed to, but at least once a year.
